Class Etiquette
Our goal is to provide a quiet, tranquil, breath-focused atmosphere, with minimal distractions. Everyone attending a yoga class is encouraged to follow etiquette guidelines that will help maintain an aura of calm, concentrated effort.

This allows time to find a space, unroll your mat, and collect your props (any blankets, bolsters, blocks, or straps you need to modify poses) without disturbing anyone. It also gives you an opportunity to get into the right mindset.
NO late attendance for Meditation or Reiki classes or events
Arrive Early
If you must leave early, let the teacher know, and please do it before savasana, the period of final relaxation at the end of class. Again, this is to not disturb your classmates during a key part of the class — experts often say savasana is the most important and challenging pose in yoga.
Plan to stay for the whole class
There are cultural, practical, and spiritual reasons for this rule. Furthermore, yoga is practiced on the floor, and tracking in the dirt makes the studio unclean. It’s simply easier to ground yourself if your feet are making direct contact with the floor.
No Shoes in Yoga Shala
This is so you can fully disconnect and others won’t be disturbed. If, for some reason, you have children who need to be able to reach you or a specific circumstance), we will allow you to leave it next to you on silent.
No Cellphone in Yoga Shala
Bring a water bottle we have water dispensers if you need more.
We ask that you have a metal container to place it in a place that won’t fall and make a loud noise and disturb the class.
Stay hydrated
Be Positive!
To ensure that the studio is a place of positivity for all, be aware of your presence and how you interact with others
Be Respectful!
To the instructor, to the class, and to yourself
Be Compassionate!
Everyone deserves to practice yoga free from judgment, harm, exclusion, or anything else that would keep them from feeling comfortable in yoga
